Blue Paepe Bricks

€106.40

The old recycled hand-molded blue Paepe brick dates from the early 1820s to 1890s. The clay was put in a wooden mold and pushed by hand and as a result, the brick has a whimsical shape and a beautiful grain. The gray-blue colour of this brick was obtained by removing the oxygen during baking and its antiquity can be seen in its unique character and appearance. This brick was often used as a detail in masonry, for example in ornamental arches, skirting, etc. Through reclamation you obtain a lovely colour palette of blue-gray with black in between.

Please always order promptly because this is a rare type of brick.

Price is per square meter. Please email admin@chamberlaynecollection.ie to enquire or place an order for this product.
